WP rocks!
I used WP to create this website because C.M.S. is a good tool for handling websites that need be responsive and keep track of posts, stories or updates. Because I built on WP themes and plugins I’m able to include functions like responsive menus and layouts, easy to build masonry of posts and images and organized taxonomy in my website designs and programming. Coding for the site was structured to serve images and text in a theme about a spoof take on a mix between “Wild Western” television genres and a video game from the 90’s.
The Visuals

Images for the site were created using Adobe Creative Suite CC 2025. I use Photoshop mostly in this case. Each character was traced from a stock photo. I added a cowboy hat and some accessories to make it look more western and painterly. The drawings are not completed works. The demonstration is intended to be more technical. I wanted to know if I could not only create programming that references and old video game and make visuals that will run on current desktop devices. The site is responsive, but not meant for mobile.

The Audio
what makes this sound right
When I first heard about A.I. I thought it would produce the same or similar results based on a prompt. In this case I was working with an A.I. voiceover app by Motion Array.I used the voiceover app to create audio narrative and sounds for the website. Music was created by myself. I used GarageBand to create music for the site and programmed an on/off switch using Javascript.

The Code
what makes this work right
The site was created using JQuery/JAVA, PHP CSS and HTML. I used WP as a C.M.S. because of its versatility. Originally the site suited a business blog them. Code blocks are used to create the front page game called “One Punch Western”. The game was written to allow single player mode (against the computer) or two player mode (agains someone on the same keyboard). Images for the site are preloaded to avoid visual glitches.

Before
WP handles the C.M.S.
This is a critical feature of my websites. Authors that publish using the the sites I create should be able to easily use WP as intended. My work works around WP functionality to add graphical elements without conflicting with WP. Most WP themes are cookie cutters. My intention is to demonstrate that WP can be used to create on of a kind author controlled sites complete with responsive elements and automatic content management.
After
I do the rest
I like start with a sketch. I then add notes regarding timing and effects. Java timing is critical to the functionality of the site so animations and images should be queued properly. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and GarageBand are some of the tools used in my processes.
